Great atmosphere. Nice selection. Awesome location.

A must go burger shop in downtown McKinney. Everything on the menu is good. My favorite burger is the Blue Burger. Great selection of wine and craft beer.

Horrible service. Burger was decent nothing to get excited about... super super small place. Don’t try to maneuver around the chairs to go the restroom. Yikes!

Burger was cooked and prepared exactly as I ordered it but the service was a little slow. Server wasn't bad but wasn't great either. Burger could have used more seasoning but overall this is a great place to eat lunch. I've been before and I will be back.

Big Fan of Square Burgers and the Sweet Potato Fries!!!! We work in the square ,so its easy to run over and grab a bite. The food is consistently great and beer drinkers will love their massive amount of draft beer options.

Very good burgers, flavorful, and large enough to fill. Great sweet potato fries and the battered fried pickle was pretty dang tasty. Excellent service and great selection of beers.

SO GOOD. Best burger joint around!!! I have lived in the McKinney area for almost a decade now and have even worked in downtown McKinney, but never tried Square Burger. From the service to the food to the environment, this place is the BEST! Noah was such a great server! He was friendly and on time with every detail. I would recommend asking for him especially if it is your first time. We will be back!!

Pretty good food. Wish they had gluten free buns. Nice atmosphere. A little crowded seating. They can make any burger into a salad

The drinks were great, the food was good, more or less. While I appreciate the grass fed beef, having it cooked well done in a burger need not taste like a hockey puck. Perhaps Chef is unaware of butter garnish.

This spot clearly knows how to please their customers. Always with a friendly attitude. The food is reasonably priced, regularly delicious and clean.

I had a great time got a wire presumably from the can in my tomato soup but other than that my grilled cheese was great.

They still need to work on front of the house. It was disorganised. The burger seemed to have been mixed with other ingredients. The bread pudding had a different texture than what I would have expected.

Great food and drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was fun, and lively, a bit like a brewery due to the large list of beers and wine they have on one of the walls written out in chalk. My daughter and I took my wife there for mother's day, and without asking the staff knew to bring a child friendly cup. The burgers were delicious and seasoned perfectly. I will definitely visit again.

Little slow on service, price could be a little better. NO TV's for sports..., food was very good.

When I want a gourmet burger I come here. They have a great selection of burgers along with awesome sides. The meats are fresh and I usually prefer medium-rare doneness. I just can't do overcooked meat that's tough and dry. You're truly missing out if you go beyond medium doneness. They also have a decent selection of beers to wash it all down. Enjoy!!!

If you want something fresh and scrumptious the pea soup is sweet, delicate and memorable. Also refreshing is the dinner salad with julienned fruit and candied cashews...top your meal off with one of their homemade ice cream sandwiches and you'll know that this is someplace special, not just for a burger.

The onion rings are to dieeee for. Prices are fair and we always have a good time

Great beer selection..... . Proves that most great beers aren't IPA's, although if you want that they have those, too.

Love their Salmon Burger. The topping are so fresh and food is amazing at Square Burger.

Love "adult" grilled cheese sandwiches and they do them well with a tomatoe (or your choice) of soup. Good prices, friendly staff. It seems to be a popular place to eat! You can easily find them right on the Square of Historic Downtown McKinney. You may have to park a couple of blocks away, but its an enjoyable walk in that area.

I LOVE THIS PLACE WITH A BURNING PASSION. Lamb burger is my new favorite burger.

Good burgers and good beer. Solid place to eat. Front of house staff needs a little work, but all in all a good experience.

We were looking for somewhere new to try and almost missed it because we didn't see a big sign, but as soon as you walk in the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Our party had 3 burgers which were fantastic and a roast chicken plate which was also so good! Everything was seriously cooked perfectly! Also did I mention how friendly the server was? The onion rings were probably the best traditional onion rings I've ever had, they were huge, and fried to perfection without being greasy. Even our 4 year old had a blast at dinner.

The burger I had was delicious! It was the Smokey Jack Burger. Prepared the way I requested and served hot. The Spicy Onion String Fries weren't that spicy but the flavor complemented the taste of the burger very well. The fried pickle standing up to the left was a different experience for me, but it too complemented the burger well.

Great burgers and beer lost

Great spot to hangout, good ambience, friendly service and good food! I recommend the sweet potato fries, thin-cut and not overly seasoned like most people, truly delicious. The lamb burger is also another great choice; it's like a gyro wrap except it's a delicious lamb Patty. Good beer and wine selection so it caters to all. All-in-all a good place to grab lunch or dinner if you're in McKinney square!

The pork chop was delicious. The chef's vegetables and potato puree as well. All around a great lunch at a great price!

The mac and cheese and sweet potato fired were delicious! Also, highly recommend the draft root beer 👍🏻the burgers were good, but the apps were better. Service was great and the restroom was clean.

The burgers are always delicious and cooked as ordered. The seasoned fried onion strings are amazing!! I think I could make a small meal out of just those. One of our favorite burger joints with a good selection of beers.

I love this place. I love to take my clients to this place. It has an awesome atmosphere and their fried dill pickles are the bomb. If you have trouble eating a super big burger they have a smaller version which I just love. Great food, Great place. Highly recommend it.

Bison burger was okay, needed to sauce and had to add jalapenos. Not bad, and for $13 it was a great deal for the price. However, the beer selection is unreal and I was not disappointed. Brass tap in Allen is my go to for good beer but these guys have the same quality but a lot better food in comparison

I was really impressed with this bright and funky burger joint right on the main square in McKinney. My burger was delicious, the service at the bar was really friendly and, wow, what a fantastic choice of beers. Highly recommended!

Fabulous as always! Had the shrimp, scallop and porcini mushroom mac and cheese- creamy deliciousness. Love the addition of Guryere and white cheddar. The small Caprese salad, as pictured was very fresh, and very good.

I just had lunch here. It was wonderful! I got the parmigiano burger, well done. It was full if flavor and it was not dry. It should have come with a warning as well, it is incredibly messy. The young lady that was waiting on me suggested the fritters for dessert si I ordered some. They were also very good. The service was great! I feel horrible because I was in a rush to get back to work. My bill was about $18, but I only had 2 $20. So, I asked for change. The young lady didn't break the second $20 so that I could leave her a decent tip and I didn't have time to wait. The service was well worth more than what I was able to leave.

The Good:Great little place on the square. The salmon salad was delicious. The environment is unique for the area, but very good. On par with Kenny’s Burgers.The Bad:Ordered the burger medium, got medium well (no pink at all). The bun to burger ration was leaning more toward the bun, making each bite start juicy but end dry. The seating arrangement does not leave a lot of room for movement between tables.The Ugly:Some of the benches and such were ratty, with pieces missing.Recommendations:Reduce the bun thickness. Allow more space for movement between tables.

The food was amazing! I had the Blue Burger mid rare. Highly recommended! The bartender was very attentive and a pleasure to talk to during outlr meal. She had our food out super quick and checked back regularly.

Fantastic food and wonderful service. Absolutely delicious burgers but lots and lots of other things too. Turkey burger, salmon burgers and tuna steak burger. Yummy. Onion rings delicious! Very good wait staff. We will be back.

Great place in downtown McKinney. Service has always been good, plenty of beer on tap and the food is excellent. Only downfall is not using that great patio for outside seating. Try the buffalo burger and sweet potato fries.

The food and service where the best we've had in McKinney. We sat at the bar and ordered water with our meals but the bartender still gave us a lot of attention and amazing service

Hands down the best burger I've had so far!! Really a great place, the staff was very friendly and attentive. If you like exotic beers, they have a varied selection of tap beers which I strongly recommend. If visiting Dallas or Fort Worth, the drive is totally worth it.
